Meet the Founder

Ubuntu Care Zimbabwe was founded by Ishmael Nyachengwe, a UK- trained Mental Health Nurse with more than 20 years of healthcare experience. Drawing on extensive NHS experience, he established Ubuntu Care Zimbabwe to help families ensure their loved ones receive safe, compassionate, dignified and culturally respectful care at home.

"Our aim is simple: to give families peace of mind while ensuring their loved ones are treated with dignity, compassion and respect."

Dignified Care, Rooted in Ubuntu

We bridge the distance through dedicated, Ubuntu-cantered care-providing structured welfare updates, compassionate companionship and genuine peace of mind for families abroad.

• Cultural Understanding

Family Remains at the Heart of Care

At Ubuntu Care Zimbabwe, professional support is designed to strengthen family connection, not replace it. We work in partnership with families, wherever they are, wherever they live, while respecting the wishes and independence of the person receiving care.

Dignity Preserved

Our caregivers are supported to provide compassionate, respectful care that protects dignity, independence and personal choice. We take time to understand each person's routines, preferences, cultural background and what matters most to them.

Wherever possible, we aim to provide continuity of care through familiar carers, helping relationships develop naturally and giving families greater reassurance and confidence. Our carers are carefully selected and expected to work to Ubuntu Care Zimbabwe's standards of professionalism, respect, accountability and compassionate care.

Our Promise

The Values Behind the Ubuntu Way

Dignity

Trust

Every person is treated with respect, compassion and choice. We support independence and recognise the individuality of every person receiving care.

We value family, culture, language, faith and community. Our care is designed to help people remain connected to the relationships and traditions that matter to them.

We aim to provide dependable care, clear communication and appropriate family updates so relatives can feel informed and confident in the support their loved one receives.
